I decided to bring my wind chimes inside and recorded them with an mxl 910 microphone into my computer using a focusrite scarlett 18i20 interface with the gain turned up a bit. I then chopped 15 samples i liked from the entire recording and formatted them into a make noise morphagene reel containing 15 splices. I am very pleased with the results, especially when patched into clouds or using an eventide space pedal for example. Enjoy!.

This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . These short files are random selections from a 9min composite audio file i put together from an accidental recording made when i left my sony camcorder on in my studio. They are part of the same series posted elsewhere on thefreesoundproject site titled "accidental recordist". There is some hiss/background noise which is part of the street front urban scene of my studio. There are two chimes - one low pitch constructed of four aluminium tubes and wooden clapper (gift) and the high pitch one of small stainless steel discs (purchased in maui from craft shop). I did some basic cleanup of low level background noise and applied plus one level of loudness using adobe soundbooth cs3 to get some clarity.
